parksmart®PRIVACY · PRE-RELEASE DRAFT · NOVEMBER 6, 2026

Your location stays yours.

This draft describes the implemented ParkSmart pilot. The operating entity, contact address, retention policy, and legal review must be finalized before public launch.

What we collect

Account name, email, a securely hashed password, sign text you submit, recognition confidence, parking timers, optional precise parking coordinates, vehicle nicknames, makes, models, colors, and reports you send. License plates are not collected. Location is requested only when you choose to save it.

Sign photos

The web scanner processes photos on your device. The native app can send a photo to the ParkSmart server for OCR; it is processed transiently and is not saved to image storage. The photo remains visible during the current scanning session. Extracted text and results are saved to your account. No paid generative AI provider receives the photo.

How we use information

To authenticate your account, explain recognized sign text, keep timers and vehicle records, show your saved parking pin, respond to reports, prevent abuse, and administer the service. Scanning is guidance and does not establish legal parking permission.

Who can see it

Administrators see aggregate metrics, user account and subscription status, community reports, and support requests. Admin endpoints do not expose precise parking histories, sign text, or passwords. Server infrastructure operators have privileged system access; access must be restricted and audited.

Service providers

Bluehost hosts the server. Web maps request tiles from OpenStreetMap, which receives the requesting device’s IP address and map area. Native maps use the operating system’s mapping provider. If subscriptions are enabled, Apple, Google, and RevenueCat process purchase information. Opening directions sends the selected destination to your map provider.

Retention and control

You can export your data, delete individual scans and parking sessions, or delete your account from Account settings. Account deletion removes associated application records. Store subscriptions must be canceled separately. The included maintenance job removes free-account sign and parking history older than 30 days, expired login sessions, and old rate-limit records when enabled. Premium history is retained until you delete it or your account. Backup deletion periods must be defined before public release.

Notifications

Native reminders are scheduled on your device. Browsers require the ParkSmart page to stay open. Notification permissions and operating-system limits can prevent or delay delivery.

Contact and requests

During the pilot, submit a privacy or deletion request from Account → Contact support. A public privacy contact, company identity, and jurisdiction-specific rights information are launch requirements.
